Pres. Obama’s commencement speech at Arizona State University

LINK: Pres. Obama’s commencement speech at Arizona State University,Tempe, AZ, May 15, 2009

Context:
This speech was one of two controversial commencement speeches Obama gave in 2009 (the other was at the University of Notre Dame HERE). The controversy stemmed from the university’s unwillingness to grant Obama an honorary doctorate with the view that “he had not accomplished enough” to warrant one. In his address, Obama effectively uses this claim to urge students that “their work was never done.”
