Obama’s election night victory speech

LINK: Obama’s election night victory speech, November 4, 2008, Chicago IL.

Context:
After a decisive victory, Obama and his family went to Grant Park where he was wildly greeted by a crowd of over 100,000 which included Oprah Winfrey and Jessie Jackson who appear briefly in this clip. Befitting a time of economic distress and unease, Obama presents a sober picture of what lay ahead and concludes with a story about Ann Nixon Cooper, a 106-year old African-American woman, a story with many parallels to the story of Melissa Lewis which Obama routinely referenced in the earliest days of his campaign.
