Obama speaks at 99th NAACP Convention

LINK: Sen. Obama speaks at 99th NAACP Convention, July 14, 2008, Cincinnati, OH

Context:
Here Obama uses the 99th anniversary of the NAACP to lay out much of the “unfinished business” that still remained in the pursuit of social and economic justice for African Americans in the United States. He also raises many of the same themes he raised in his Father’s Day speech. This speech is, in many ways, a rejoinder to his critics of that speech.
